1. Your Project Objectives
As a growing, dynamic organisation, The Whitehall & Industry Group is experiencing both challenges and opportunities:
Challenges: The existing team are very experienced. However, WIG can be seen as a stepping stone and staff turnover is very high (est. 30%), which is a drain on talent and the long-serving team.
  • Most managers have been promoted because of their long-service and technical capability, and have not been trained to lead or manage people.
  • There is a tendency to work in silos.
Opportunities: WIG have crafted a new vision, mission and 'why' statement. There's further opportunity now to ensure all client offerings and team behaviour align to these, and the new values and behaviour statements that are being currently drafted.
  • Inclusivity training has encouraged team members to be more open, however, their communications are not always balanced with respect for others. This balance will be addressed in our training.
Goals:
  • Culture: Create an inclusive high-performing culture
  • Capability: Ensure our leaders and managers are well equipped for the people leadership and management part of their roles.
  • Alignment: Ensure team members are 'in the same boat', rather than silos, and help them align services and behaviour to your new vision & why.
2. Our Recommended Solution for You
This proposal is for two groups of leaders and managers within WIG:
  • Your Directors and Heads of Departments (six in total)
  • Your People Managers (seven in total)
Based upon our discussion, and the challenges and opportunities outlined above, I believe the following bespoke solution will best meet your needs.
One-to-one Discovery meetings with all 13 people
  • Using the Motivational Maps, I'll build trust and understanding with each person, and identify the relevant development needs of each person, and the 'team'.
A one-day facilitated workshop to bring all 13 of you together
We will focus on:
  • team-building, using Motivational Maps, and our Boat exercise, to create greater understanding and trust
  • using your new Vision, Mission and Why statement to explore:
  • how your current client offerings align,
  • how you want your clients to feel, and
  • what's missing.
Both the STRIVE Programme and the Liberating Leadership Programme include individual co-created Visions or mini-projects, which can pick up the actions from this workshop.
Our STRIVE Programme for your 6 Directors and Heads of Department
This will be tailored to meet your team's exact needs, and will include:
  • exploring your team's shared purpose and how you work together
  • stakeholder management and managing change
  • the fundamentals of our Liberating Leadership programme, including the 3 diagnostics to explore each person's underlying beliefs about leading and managing people
Our Liberating Leadership Programme for your 7 People Managers
Based on over 25 years of research into the beliefs and behaviours of high-performing leaders and managers, this highly-engaging programme will transform both the beliefs and behaviours of your People Managers, and provide a shared language and toolkit with WIG.
Programme contents, client testimonials and Return on Investment details can be found here:https://www.aspirinbusiness.com/liberating-leadership-development-programme
See Outline Delivery Plans below for each of these 'modules'.
3. Outline Delivery Plan for your One-Day Facilitated Workshop
  • Participants: 13 participants
The purpose of the One-Day Workshop is to strengthen the sense of one team with a shared motivating purpose. Joanna spoke about the new Vision, Mission and Why statement, and how this is not yet embedded in the organisation. This workshop will enable your team to explore the purpose and vision, how this aligns to existing services and behaviours and identify what needs to change.
We will focus on:
  • team-building, using Motivational Maps, and our Boat exercise, to create greater understanding and trust
  • using your new Vision, Mission and Why statement to explore:
  • how your current client offerings align,
  • how you want your clients to feel, and
  • what's missing or needs to change.
Motivational Maps are a highly-engaging tool used to increase self-awareness and emotional intelligence. They also provide an accurate measure of motivation and employee engagement, to instantly identify potential flight-risks and values mismatch.
They are excellent at rapidly increasing an understanding and respect of individual differences, and creating a stronger sense of team, and are an ISO Accredited Self-Perception Inventory. Your facilitator, Susannah Brade-Waring, has been using this tool for over 15 years, operating at the highest level, and has trained over 200 coaches globally to use this tool.
Each person will receive their own Motivational Map report and will have a one-to-one coaching session with Susannah to explore this, and their Development Needs. This builds trust quickly with Susannah and with their Motivational Map, enabling your team to engage more openly with each other and the process during the one-day workshop.
  • Suggested Start Date: Nov / Dec
Delivery Phases:
  1. Phase 1: Onboarding - completion of Motivational Map, with one-to-one 45-minute coaching sessions for each person, to provide Map feedback and explore their Development Needs. This will be done before the One-day workshop.
  1. Phase 2: Delivery of One-Day workshop
  1. Phase 3: Both the STRIVE Programme and the Liberating Leadership Programme include individual co-created Visions or mini-projects, which can pick up the actions from this workshop.
4. Outline Delivery Plan for your Directors & HODs' STRIVE Programme
Solution: Our STRIVE Programme
Recognising the dual-role of leaders, our STRIVE Programme has both an external and internal focus. It includes Stakeholder Management, Team Building and Leading through Change, as well as our Liberating Leadership Programme which your People Managers will learn. Both include learning how to create clear and compelling visions, with detailed Project Plans.
As there is less emphasis on practising the skills learned to manage people in our STRIVE Programme, we'll cover this in the one-to-one coaching and the embedding workshops. This enables the participants to shape the content of their development.
  • Participants: 6 people (Joanna, Tom and Angie, Hazam, Katie, Marcin )
  • Delivery:
  • Sessions: 2 x 1-day sessions, delivered 1 week apart (or back-to-back)
  • Application: Two one-to-one coaching sessions per individual
  • Embedding: 4 bi-monthly 2-hour workshops to embed and apply the learning
  • Suggested Start Date: Dec
Delivery Phases:
  1. Phase 1: Onboarding—completion of Motivational Map, with feedback and Development Needs Assessment. This will be done before the One-day workshop.
  1. Phase 2: Delivery of Day 1 workshop - to include our Boat exercise (illustrated above)
  1. Phase 3: Delivery of Day 2 workshop
  1. Phase 4: One-to-one coaching to apply the learning
  1. Phase 5: 4 × 2-hour embedding workshops delivered over the following 8-9 months.
  1. Phase 6: Measure the benefit, including survey and feedback from the participants
5. Outline Delivery Plan for your Managers
Solution: Our Liberating Leadership Programme for your People Managers
Based on over 25 years of research into the beliefs and behaviours of high-performing leaders and managers, this highly-engaging programme will transform both the beliefs and behaviours of your People Managers, and provide a shared language and toolkit with WIG.

Your Trusted Partner - Aspirin Business Solutions
Developing your team is an important investment , and the easiest option is to do nothing, delay or attempt a DIY solution. Why then, is partnering with Aspirin Business Solutions a decision you'll be glad you made?
You're more than a number - as a small family business, every relationship with every client is important to us, and that will be reflected in the service you and your team will receive. You can be confident that our values mean much more than words:
T - transformational R - respectful U - united S - service-orientated T - trust
Imposter Syndrome - a Oct 23 study found 66% of Gen Z (66%) and 58% of millennials say they experience this. In addition to increased stress and absenteeism, experiencing Imposter Syndrome can result in resistance to situations which may 'expose' a lack in confidence and/or capability, especially to their own senior colleagues. That's why …
  • DIY solutions rarely create the fast and lasting changes provided by external experts, like us, who specialise in learning and development.
  • We embed psychological safety and collaborative learning into all our learning experiences, and that's why our clients consider us to be 'a safe pair of hands'.
A Shared Methodology - All of our programme contain the same core methodology, language and values. That means your teams across your organisation will benefit from a shared methodology, regardless of the programme they're learning. This includes ways to create psychological safety,e.g. positive regard and genuineness, Motivational Maps, OK Corral, feedback techniques and models.
